Kofi Wurapa, MD

Dr. Kofi Wurapa is a Physician with HALI Clinics. Dr. Wurapa attended medical school at Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. His certifications are in Family Medicine, Preventive and Occupational Medicine, with additional qualifications in Tropical Medicine. As an Army doctor, he served as a Flight Surgeon with the 101st Airborne Division for three years, a Battalion Surgeon with the 3rd Group Special Forces and 95th Civil Affairs Special Forces Brigade at Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg) for ten years, with four deployments to Afghanistan and three in the Sahel. Dr. Wurapa was also assigned to Kenya in 2010 as the Global Emerging Infections Surveillance director for three years (covering Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Cameroon) and the Tanzania Country Director for the Military Malaria Research Program at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research for four more years.
